Tinashe’s “Popstar” has entered the Billboard 200 at No. 6, giving the singer her first top 10 album and the highest debut of her career.
The set earned 35,500 equivalent album units in its opening week, according to figures cited by Music Times. Album sales made up 22,000 units, while the record’s 16 songs generated about 13.7 million on-demand streams.
The milestone comes more than a decade after “Aquarius” reached No. 17 in 2014. “Popstar” arrived with singles including “Too Easy”, “Crash Out”, “Melatonin”, “Pillow Fight” and “I’d Rather Be Alone”.
